HL7 Integration Analyst 

Will be responsible for the setup and maintenance of the test compendium, test definition, and incoming/outgoing interfaces. The position will be responsible for providing the on-site support for system configuration, including the test environment set up and testing, any required script writing in the Corepoint interface engine, production test set up and testing, troubleshooting and post-go live support of the interface. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Support, analyze and review information flow between the different components of the Laboratory Information System (LIS). Manage root cause analysis of issues and corrective actions.
• Design, set-up and validate interfaces to the LIS.
• Set-up and test specimen/order and result routing between laboratories as defined by individual laboratory capability/capacity
• Set-up test codes to direct information (order and result) flow from the reference laboratory to the laboratory reporting system.
• Test and monitor result data integrity between all systems utilized in the results reporting process in compliance with the relevant accreditation/certification bodies.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must have experience working with the HL7 interface standards
• BS/BA or MS in Information Systems, Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 5 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a medical laboratory environment and IT environment. 

Desired Skills:

• 3+ years healthcare operational experience preferably in an laboratory environment
• 2+ years experience working with interface engines, preferably the Corepoint interface engine.
• Laboratory experience such as MT or MLT a plus
