Bob Gorman's previous 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry included 20 years in laboratory services. After successfully leading laboratories in New York and Boston, Bob headed the Quest east region for eight years and led the negotiations for the company's largest insurance contracts. Earlier, Bob held management positions with Beverly Enterprises, Inc., and Home Medical Systems, Inc. He also served as President of the Lung Cancer Online Foundation for five years.
Rising through the ranks from her original training as a Medical Technologist, Elaine's broad laboratory experience spans from "bench work" in hospitals, manufacturing, and local lab settings through varied management positions of increasing responsibility. Subsequent to her six years as Managing Director for Quest Connecticut, Elaine moved to corporate operations, holding Director positions in Operations Excellence, Clinical Testing Operations and Lean Deployment, nationally.
Joan began her career over 30 years ago in the laboratory, as a researcher and a technologist. She transitioned from technical operations to sales, over 20 years ago. Her early technical background provides a valuable perspective to ConVerge clients for understanding laboratory capabilities while selling lab services. Joan's sales and management career has spanned from the small local lab to a large international corporation. This varied experience has given her the knowledge needed to create service solutions for clients, and to position ConVerge as the premier laboratory provider in the New England market.
As a finance professional with more than 20 years of experience, Desiree's expertise spans from accounting and audit to billing and finance. Prior to joining ConVerge in 2010, Desiree was the Director of Finance at Piedmont Medical Laboratory for 14 years.
The ConVerge Information Technology department is capably led by Andy Del Pozo. Andy's 20-plus years of Laboratory IT experience was gained in positions of increasing responsibility in facilities ranging from small regional to large national labs. Andy's broad expertise includes hardware and software support, networking and client systems interfacing.
Prior to joining ConVerge in February 2011, Michelle was Manager of Corporate Employment/Corporate Human Resources for a large healthcare company employing over 35,000 people in North America. An 11-year veteran in Human Resources Operations, Michelle has held positions where she has been responsible for the design and implementation of all human resources strategies, policies, and processes in both a large and mid-sized companies.
