Robert J. Gorman, CEO

Bob Gorman’s previous
25 years of experience in the healthcare
industry included 20 years in laboratory
services with Quest Diagnostics
Incorporated. After successfully
leading laboratories in New York
and Boston, Bob headed Quest’s
east region for eight years and
led the negotiations for the company’s
largest insurance contracts. Earlier,
Bob held management positions with
Beverly Enterprises, Inc. and Home
Medical Systems, Inc. He also served
as President of the Lung Cancer
OnLine Foundation for five years.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in
accounting from Villanova University.

Karl H. Proppe, M.D., Medical Director

During more than thirty years in pathology and laboratory medicine, Dr. Karl Proppe has held leadership positions in both hospital and independent laboratory settings. He is active in many professional organizations and is the past president of the Massachusetts Society of Pathologists and the American Pathology Foundation. Dr. Proppe graduated from the University of Iceland Medical School and trained in pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital. He has published a number of scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and has been a member of the faculty at the Harvard School of Medicine.

Jake Dougrey MS, MBA, Vice President

Jake Dougrey brings twenty-five years of management experience in hospital, managed care and laboratory services to the ConVerge leadership team. He served as executive director of Pathology Services Inc., in Cambridge for 12 years and as a management consultant for independent pathology practices. Earlier in his career with managed care companies, Jake’s focus was ancillary contracting. He received an MBA degree from Boston University, an MS in health science from Northeastern University, and a BA in biology from St. Michael’s College in Vermont.

Brian K. DuChateau, Ph.D., D(ABMLI), Laboratory Director

Brian K. DuChateau has extensive experience in molecular diagnostics and diagnostic flow cytometry. Prior to joining ConVerge, Dr. DuChateau was director of product development for the Diagnostic Laboratories at the Blood Center of Wisconsin, technical director for LabCorp's New England Operations, and assistant laboratory director for Path Lab Inc., Portsmouth, NH. Dr. DuChateau is a member of many professional organizations and is a diplomat of the American Board of Medical Laboratory Immunologists. He has published more than 25 scientific pages in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. DuChateau received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin, Department of Bacteriology/Medical Microbiology and Immunology, and served as a clinical immunology resident at The Chicago Medical School.
